Awesome book!
I took this book out of the library because the cover didn't look stuffy and boring. It gives many tips and practice problems that are relevant to the SAT. The book is SAT Math for the Clueless: Second Edition by Robert Miller. You can get it on Amazon, http://www.amazon.com/Bob-Millers-SAT-Math-Clueless/dp/0071452877/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1320077356&sr=1-1

Really good link
The Just Math Tutorial link to the right is terrific. He has tons of videos taking you step by step through problems. I think he has a video for almost every topic you might be having trouble with. If you are really stuck with a topic or just need refreshing try it out it's great!

Things to Memorize
I find when you can recognize these equalities it can cut down your time on some problems on the SAT.
It is also helpful to know 2 commonly used Pythagorean Triples: 3, 4, 5 and 5, 12, 13.
More hints to come!

Welcome
I've set up this page to provide helpfull links and periodic advice, guidance and support for my students preparing to take the SAT. The best advice I have is to start preparing early and to do as many practice problems as you can. Skip the one's you have no problems with and focus on things that you struggle on. There are strategies that come in handy when you get stuck and we will go over these in class. To get a good idea of where you are and what you need to focus on you should do the online test on the College Board website (the link is to the right on this page). This will also give you an idea of what test day will be like. The book I suggest is:
This gives you practice tests (additional ones on the CD-ROM) , answers with detailed explainations and many practice problems.
Barron's SAT, 24th Edition (Book & CD-ROM)
This gives you practice tests (additional ones on the CD-ROM) , answers with detailed explainations and many practice problems.
I will add to this page when I find new links or have new ideas to share with you.
